TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE - RELIEVO
Last updated: 19/06/26
This English version is a courtesy translation provided for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy or dispute, only the French version (Conditions Générales de Vente) is legally binding.
1. Legal information
RELIEVO Sole-proprietor micro-enterprise SIRET: NA Address: NA Email: contact@relievo.fr Manager: NA
2. Purpose
These Terms and Conditions of Sale (T&Cs) govern the sales of made-to-order 3D-printed topographic maps by RELIEVO.
By placing an order, you accept these T&Cs without reservation.
3. Products
RELIEVO makes 3D topographic maps printed on demand from real geographic data.
Each map is assembled and checked by hand before shipping. The maps are then disassembled and shipped as a kit with assembly instructions.
All products, including the preconfigured catalogue models ("presets"), are highly customisable (dimensions, materials, options). Given the number of possible combinations, each order is considered unique and made to measure.
3.1 Visuals and renders shown
The visuals, photos and 3D renders shown on the site are strictly indicative and serve only to illustrate the customisation possibilities.
3D printing may show slight variations compared with the visuals displayed:
- Surface texture and micro-relief
- Visible layer lines
- Colour intensity and shades
- Level of detail depending on the chosen scale
These differences, inherent to the 3D printing process, do not constitute non-conformity as long as they do not significantly impair the readability or strength of the product.
4. Orders
4.1 Order process
- The customer configures their map via the online form (location, dimensions, options)
- A summary is sent by email after payment
- The order is confirmed once payment is received
4.2 Validation
Once the order is validated and paid, it becomes firm and final.
Any subsequent modification is subject to acceptance by RELIEVO and may result in additional lead time.
5. Prices and payment
5.1 Prices
Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included (TTC).
Shipping costs are calculated according to the weight and dimensions of the order and displayed before validation.
RELIEVO reserves the right to change its prices at any time, but validated orders remain at the price indicated at the time of the order.
5.2 Means of payment
Payment accepted by:
- Bank card (via the secure payment platform Stripe)
- Bank transfer (on request for professional quotes)
Payment is due immediately when the order is placed.
Manufacturing only starts after payment is received.
Regarding card payment: transactions are processed by our secure payment provider (Stripe). Any dispute opened via this provider or the issuing bank will be handled in accordance with these terms. Any transaction fees are borne by the customer and are not refundable.
6. Manufacturing and delivery times
6.1 Indicative lead times
The manufacturing time depends on the number of orders in progress and the production capacity available at the time of the order (number of active printers).
This time is confirmed by email after the order. It tends to decrease as RELIEVO's production capacity grows.
The customer is informed by email in the event of a significant delay compared with the time initially communicated.
6.2 Delivery
Maps are delivered to mainland France only.
The carrier and the applicable shipping costs are specified and displayed before payment is validated, according to the weight and dimensions of the order.
Maps are delivered disassembled as a kit with:
- All tiles (modules), numbered
- Assembly elements (connectors, reinforcements if necessary)
- Illustrated assembly instructions
- Wall-mounting guide (drilling template)
- Wall-plug recommendations suited to the weight
Assembly is simple and requires no tools.
Delivery time is added to manufacturing time.
RELIEVO cannot be held liable for delays attributable to the carrier.
7. Receipt and inspection
7.1 Inspection on receipt
The customer must check the condition of the parcel on receipt in the presence of the delivery person.
If the parcel is visibly damaged:
- Refuse the parcel or write reservations on the delivery slip
- Take photos
- Contact RELIEVO within 48h at contact@relievo.fr
7.2 Reporting damage
Any damage not visible from the outside must be reported by email to contact@relievo.fr within 7 days of receipt, with supporting photos.
After this period, no claim will be accepted.
8. Right of withdrawal
In accordance with article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised.
All RELIEVO products, including the preconfigured catalogue models ("presets"), are considered made to measure for the following reasons:
- Free choice of dimensions (or selection from standard formats)
- Choice of material (PLA, PETG, ASA)
- Customisable options (high detail, engraved plate, light module, etc.)
- Hundreds of possible combinations
Concrete example: even a preconfigured model offered in the catalogue becomes made to measure as soon as the customer freely chooses the format, the material or the options — every model always leaves at least one of these choices open, and the map is only manufactured once ordered.
As each map is unique and made specifically for the customer, no return or refund is possible after the order is validated, except in the event of:
- A hidden defect not detectable during the pre-shipping inspection
- Obvious non-conformity (incorrect dimensions, wrong location, structural defect)
- Damage during transport (see section 9.2)
9. Warranties and replacements
9.1 Quality warranty
RELIEVO guarantees that the maps conform to the specifications ordered.
Each map is assembled and checked by hand before shipping. Visible defects are detected and corrected before dispatch.
In the event of obvious non-conformity not detectable before assembly (dimension error, incorrect location, hidden structural defect), the customer may request:
- A free replacement of the map or of the defective part
- A partial or full refund depending on the severity
The report must be made within 7 days of receipt, with supporting photos to contact@relievo.fr.
In the event of an exceptional refund (decided by RELIEVO at its discretion), it will be made after deduction of bank or transaction fees (bank card) as well as the initial shipping costs. The customer bears the return costs unless RELIEVO agrees to cover them.
9.2 Damage during transport
All parcels are insured.
In the event of damage during transport:
- RELIEVO reprints the damaged part(s) free of charge
- The customer returns the broken parts if requested (costs covered by RELIEVO)
- Re-shipping within 1-2 weeks
9.3 Warranty exclusions
The warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by mishandling after receipt (impact, drop, incorrect assembly, forcing)
- Normal wear and tear related to use
- Damage caused by non-compliant exposure:
- PLA exposed to prolonged UV (direct sunlight, south-facing window display, unprotected window)
- PLA exposed to prolonged moisture (bathroom without ventilation, damp cellar, outdoors)
- Any outdoor use with an unsuitable material
- Excessive heat (>50°C: radiator, car in summer)
- Minor render differences inherent to 3D printing (slight texture variations, visible micro layer lines)
Important note on PLA: PLA is designed for indoor use in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight. The degradation characteristics of PLA vary depending on suppliers and are poorly documented over the long term. It is therefore strongly recommended to avoid any exposure to UV and prolonged moisture.
For exposure to UV, moisture or outdoor use, the customer must imperatively select a suitable material (PETG or ASA) when ordering.
9.4 Replacement of individual parts
Each tile (module) of the map has a unique number engraved on the back.
In the event of breakage of one or more tiles after receipt (handling, accident, assembly), the customer can order the replacement of only the affected parts, without rebuying the whole map.
Procedure:
- Contact contact@relievo.fr with a photo of the broken part
- Indicate the tile number engraved on the back of the part
- RELIEVO reprints the exact part
- Billing: reprinting cost and reduced shipping costs
Conditions:
- Service available within 5 years of the initial order
- Generation data is kept for 5 years
- Replacement price: calculated according to the size of the tile (generally €15-30 depending on format and shipping costs)
This service makes it possible to repair a damaged map without rebuying the whole thing.
9.5 Wall mounting
RELIEVO maps are designed to be mounted on a wall.
Provided by RELIEVO:
- Pre-drilled mounting holes at regular intervals
- Paper template guide for marking the holes on the wall
- Mounting instructions with wall-plug recommendations
Customer's responsibility: The customer is solely responsible for:
- Wall preparation (detecting cables, pipes)
- Drilling the wall according to the template provided
- Choosing and fitting wall plugs suited to the wall type (plasterboard, concrete, brick, etc.) and to the weight of the map
- The final mounting of the map
Indicative weight of the maps:
- 30x40 cm format: about 1 kg
- 50x70 cm format: about 3 kg
- 70x100 cm format: about 6 kg
- Larger formats: on quote (weight communicated)
RELIEVO cannot be held liable for:
- Unsuitable or insufficient mounting
- Incorrect drilling
- The map falling due to unsuitable or poorly fitted wall plugs
- Damage caused to the wall or property during mounting
If in doubt about the type of wall plugs to use, the customer should consult a professional or seek advice at a DIY store.
9.6 Use of photos of the finished products
RELIEVO photographs each assembled map before shipping for the purposes of:
- Archiving and proof of pre-shipping condition
- Internal quality control
- Possible commercial communication (website, social media, portfolio)
Photos intended for communication are taken so as not to reveal any personal information or identifiable precise address. Only the general render of the map and the relief are visible.
Right to object: In accordance with the GDPR, the customer may object to the use of photos of their map for commercial purposes before shipping by:
- Ticking the box "I object to the commercial use of the photos" when ordering
- Or by sending an email to contact@relievo.fr stating their order number
In the absence of express objection, the customer consents to RELIEVO using the photos of their map for commercial communication purposes, without mention of their identity.
The customer may exercise their right to withdraw consent at any time by contacting contact@relievo.fr. The photos will then be removed from the communication media within a reasonable time.
10. Digital files
10.1 Nature of the product
This product is a digital file to be printed yourself. The files are generated from real geographic data and delivered in .3mf format, accompanied by a Bambu Studio preset established on a Bambu Lab X2D.
In accordance with article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content whose supply has begun with the consumer's agreement. Downloading the file constitutes acceptance of this condition. No refund is granted after the file has been downloaded.
10.2 Compatibility and warranties
The preset provided is established on a Bambu Lab X2D and supplied for information only. No printing result is guaranteed, whatever the machine used, including on the reference machine.
3D printing involves an inherent element of randomness: with strictly identical settings (machine, filament, settings), two successive prints may produce different results. This phenomenon is independent of the quality of the file provided.
This product is aimed at users with practical experience of FDM 3D printing and capable of adapting the parameters to their own configuration. No technical support related to printing is provided.
10.3 Use and redistribution
The file is sold for personal, non-commercial use only. The customer undertakes not to redistribute it, publish it on sharing platforms, or use it to produce items for resale.
10.4 Acceptance
A box "I have read and accept these conditions" must be ticked before any payment for this type of product.
11. Limitations inherent to the process and the data
11.1 OpenStreetMap cartographic data
RELIEVO maps are generated from OpenStreetMap (OSM) data, a collaborative and open mapping project, fed by volunteer contributors from around the world.
The level of detail and completeness of this data varies greatly from one geographic area to another, and this variation has nothing to do with the importance, fame or touristic character of a place.
Concretely, this means that a building, whatever its importance, including a famous monument, a castle or any other landmark, may simply be absent from the OSM data and therefore absent from the map produced. The same applies to individual houses, entire roads, rivers or other landscape features.
RELIEVO does not carry out any prior manual verification of the completeness of the cartographic content before manufacturing. The map is generated automatically from the state of the data available at the time of the order. RELIEVO does not intervene at any point on the content of this data and has no prior knowledge of what will or will not be present.
Furthermore, when a building is present in the data, it is represented by a rectangular box, without architectural detail, whatever its real shape. This includes landmarks or iconic structures, which will also appear as simple volumes.
Consequently, RELIEVO cannot guarantee:
- The presence of all real buildings, whatever their fame or importance
- The detailed architectural representation of the buildings present, all represented as boxes
- The presence of all roads, paths or ways
- The presence or exact representation of water features (rivers, lakes, waterways)
- The accuracy of certain outlines or zone boundaries
These possible absences or simplifications depend solely on the state of the collaborative OpenStreetMap data and are in no way the result of an error or a manufacturing defect attributable to RELIEVO. They do not give rise to replacement or refund.
11.2 3D render and printing layers
Manufacturing by 3D printing is a layer-by-layer process which, by nature, involves the following characteristics:
- Layer lines are visible on the sides of the model and on the surface. They are part of the render and do not constitute a defect.
- Slight colour variations may appear depending on the filament spools, the printing conditions or the lighting angle.
- Multi-colour maps may show slight shade differences between tiles if printed with different spools.
- Surface micro-imperfections (slight streaks, texture variation) may be present. They are inherent to the process and do not affect the strength or readability of the model.
- Geometric precision may vary very slightly depending on the areas of the map (normal 3D printing tolerance: ± 1 mm).
- 3D printing involves an inherent element of randomness: with strictly identical settings, two prints may produce different results, regardless of the care taken in manufacturing.
These characteristics are common to the entire 3D printing industry and are accepted by the customer at the time of the order.
They do not constitute hidden defects and do not give rise to replacement or refund, unless they significantly impair the readability or strength of the product.
12. Liability
12.1 Use of the product
RELIEVO maps are decorative objects for indoor use (unless an outdoor material is chosen).
The customer is responsible for:
- Choosing the material suited to the intended use (indoor/outdoor, UV exposure)
- Complying with the recommended conditions of use
- Ensuring wall mounting suited to the weight of the map with wall plugs appropriate to the wall type
RELIEVO cannot be held liable for damage caused by improper use or use that does not comply with the recommendations.
12.2 Limitation of liability
RELIEVO's liability is limited to the amount of the order.
RELIEVO cannot be held liable for:
- Delivery delays attributable to the carrier
- Indirect damage (loss of use, commercial loss, loss of profit)
- Force majeure events (strike, bad weather, natural disaster, etc.)
12.3 Abuse of procedure and abusive claims
RELIEVO undertakes to handle any legitimate claim seriously and benevolently.
However, the following practices are considered abusive and may give rise to prosecution:
- Opening manifestly unfounded disputes in order to obtain an undue advantage (refund without reason, unjustified discount)
- Publication of false or defamatory reviews aimed at harming RELIEVO's reputation
- Threats of public disparagement ("bad buzz") used as a means of pressure
The customer is invited to contact RELIEVO as a priority at contact@relievo.fr to resolve any dispute amicably before any public or procedural action.

- Right of deletion
- Right to object to processing
- Right to portability
To exercise these rights: contact@relievo.fr
14.3 Retention and security
The data is kept for the time necessary to manage the order and for 5 years for the parts replacement service.
The data is never sold or shared with third parties, except carriers for the purposes of delivery.
14.4 Audience measurement
RELIEVO carries out an anonymous audience measurement of its website (pages viewed, areas read or clicked, purchase journey) in order to improve its usability. This measurement:
- uses no cookie and no storage on your device, and no third-party service (no Google Analytics or equivalent);
- creates no visitor, session or device identifier: the information is aggregated immediately into simple counters and can never identify you nor reconstruct your individual journey;
- involves no transfer to any third party.
No prior consent is required for this measurement, as it neither reads nor writes any information on your device.
15. Mediation and disputes
15.1 Amicable resolution
In the event of a difficulty, the customer is invited to contact RELIEVO as a priority at contact@relievo.fr to find an amicable solution.
15.2 Consumer mediation

CNPM consumer mediator Website: cnpm-mediation-consommation.eu Email: contact@cnpm-mediation.eu
15.3 Applicable law
These T&Cs are subject to French law.
In the event of a dispute not resolved amicably or by mediation, the French courts shall have sole jurisdiction.
16. Modification of the T&Cs
RELIEVO reserves the right to modify these T&Cs at any time.
The applicable T&Cs are those in force at the time the order is placed and accepted by the customer.
